Painted Picnic

A European summer inspired print of a painted still life picnic. Screen printed on a luxurious 4 yards of cotton sateen, this fabric could be turned into any experience from brunch at the golf course in a summer dress, mixing an aperol spritz in an apron, setting up a dinner party with placemats, and more.

Printing Process

Color tests - figuring out which order to layer the colors. My favorite was red/pink, blue, then yellow to top it off.

I liked these colors but maybe a little brighter for the yellow and a little more red instead of pink!

And the final layer of yellow.

If I did this again I would use this color palette created with the screens emulsion. With the purple, blue, and yellow.

Starting the process after measuring with the pink printing every other space, drying, then going back between the spaces. Making sure to use even consistent pulls throughout.
